Q1: What is the difference between a
ticket and a citation?
One ticket may be issued for multiple
citations (for example speeding and not wearing a seat belt). If you
pay your ticket using this Web site, you must pay each citation on the
ticket in full.
Q2: What if I do not believe I am guilty of
one or more of the citations issued?
You
have the right to appear on your court date specified on your citation,
talk to the judge, and enter your plea.
Q3: How do I keep a moving violation off my driving record?
Moving violations such as speeding are
automatically reported to the state per Kansas state law. To pursue
any option other than pleading guilty or no contest and paying the fine, you
must appear on the court date specified on your citation,
talk to the judge, and enter your plea.
You may also consult an attorney.
Q4: What happens if I do not pay the ticket and miss my court date?
A "failure to appear" citation will be
issued to you which may lead to a warrant issued for your arrest.
Q5: When is the cut off date and time to
pay my ticket before my court date?
Any ticket successfully paid on-line, even
minutes before the court date and time, satisfies your obligation to handle
the matter before the court date. You will receive a confirmation of your online payment. Print the receipt for your records.
If your credit card is rejected, your
case will remain active.
